Our business with Courtney Love can only be classified as unusual. Courtney began purchasing antiques in the mid 1990’s. At that time she was living in Hollywood. When she moved to Beverly Hills, she rented a house and wanted us to furnish the whole thing. She picked out enough items to furnish two houses and she said she would decide when the stuff got there hows he would move it around. We agreed and proceeded to make the delivery the very next day since she was anxious to move in. When our crew of eight men showed up for the delivery at the house, she was nowhere to be found. It turned out she was in Las Vegas and had forgotten about it. We rescheduled for the next day. After spending sixteen hours there with eight men and myself, the furniture was finally in place and she was satisfied.
The next day, her boyfriend came over and said no to everything. Since the customer is always right, we picked it all up. She then changed boyfriends and it was all redelivered and this time the order stuck. She bought some spectacular antiques! Courtney has great taste and still owns some of the finest pieces we ever carried. Courtney, in spite of all this, was a delight to work with and has been back to the store many times and is friendly with my wife. Courtney is very talented, see her in The People v. Larry Flynt. I guess eccentricity comes with the territory, but to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
