Here we see George W. sitting on one of Antiquarian Traders' John Jelliff parlor sets. This antique set consisted of a couch, two armchairs and four side chairs. The set was displayed prominently in the White House anteroom. In addition, Antiquarian Traders sold a set of Amercian Renaissance Revival armchairs that were used just outside of the oval office. When the chairs were ordered in 2005 by the White House curator, who exclaimed that "Mr. President wants to clean out all that Kennedy crap!" The finished chairs were sent to the Federal warehouse in Arlington, Virginia where they were dismantled, inspected for bugs (real and electronic) and then reassembled and delivered to the White House. When GW served as Governeor of Texas, Antiquarian Traders furnished his personal offices, conference rooms and reception area.
