Marc Lalique's incredible and renowned Cactus Table was designed in the early 1950's, and is one of the most influential and important pieces ever made by Lalique. Originally, this creation was meant for a window display for which the theme, as conceived by Marc Lalique, was an aquarium where crystal fishes seemed to be swimming around the eight crystal clear leaves of a giant cactus. The huge success of this creation gave Marc Lalique the sparkling idea to turn it into a table. This has been one of the most desired pieces of the Lalique architectural collection and is truly a spectacular piece. This unique and amazing work of art is a tribute to the technical prowess, and artistic vision of Laliques master craftsman, and is Marc Lalique's eternal testament to lovers of beauty, style, and elegance.
This classic design can usually only be found in the collection of major museums, and few privileged private individuals. The cactus table base is Lalique's most expensive production piece and sells for more than $110,000 in the USA without the top. Our table DOES includes a 48" glass top that is 3/4" thick with a 2" bevel. Each leg is signed Lalique 1986.
