Pair of antique 19th C. bronze Marly Horses with grooms. Each sculpture rests on a green marble base. The artist of the originals was Guillaume I. Coustou 1677-1746. He was commissioned by Louie XV to create these sculptures to take the place of previous sculptures that were removed from bases located in Marly. These are 19th C. restrikes. |
