Description: Elegant Renaissance Revival ebonized, parcel gilt and marquetry cabinet out of New York from the third quarter 19th century. The anthemion carved stepped superstructure above a lower cabinet centering a paneled door opening to a shelved interior flanked by gilt metal mounted stiles and concave sides resting on a conforming base raised on shaped feet, line incised and inlaid with Neoclassical motifs overall. The doors of this spectacular cabinet are able to open wide, revealing an adjustable shelf. This piece would be perfect to use as a high-style enetertainment center or a flatscreen television cabinet.
