1873 50C Arrows PR65 Cameo NGC. One of only two years for the reintroduced Arrows half dollar type and an especially desirable coin when located as a proof. Only 550 pieces were struck in this year the lower of the two proof mintages for the type. The fields show shimmering watery reflectivity and the devices are nicely frosted which provides a strong cameo contrast on both obverse and reverse. Light golden-olive-gray toning gravitates to the border on each side of this lovely Cameo Gem proof. Rarely seen so fine. Census: 4 in 65 9 finer (11/06).
