Standard Grade Wooton Patent Secretary in the Eastlake style executed in walnut and burl or cherry wood with ornate turnings incorporated in the gallery circa 1884. This design was created in response to demand for the simpler style influenced by Charles Eastlake. It is easy to see the contrast between the earlier fancier renaissance revival style and the later Eastlake version when shown together. Some have the original pencil signature on a drawer of desk trimmer Zue Jackson.
