The "Office Queen" made by the Moore Combination Desk Co. was designed much like a Wooton Cabinet Secretary but since it was in two parts rather than three it did not infringe on Wooton's patent. In addition it had a sliding writing table which allowed the desk to be closed without disturbing work in progress. Moore considered this to be a definite advantage over Wooton's writing board which had to be cleared and folded before it could be closed. Patent # 199089 January 8 1878. His production output was limited thus fewer desks are available today.
